he'll probably get a marker pen out and scribble 5 star underneath.

Can't believe there's not a flippin great 5 star banner on the boat already. I stayed on the boat last night and it was fine when I left!

It will be there tomorrow! After all the rails have been done then there will be 3.

Ah yes, about those fenders, i scuffed them up and put them in position to make my work look good :D

Its nearly exactly a year since we took on the abandoned boat in Spain.

Quite chuffed with the photo really, you have brought out the best in her. She doesn't look 21. That ball fender is less than 6 month old though!!!

I have done boats a few years old that don't look that good, that one does have a particularly good gelcoat on her.

for a Med boat that's odd, maybe the heat and the sun softens the gelcoat and helps it bond to the grp, whereas the cold of the north makes it go creasy
E, was she always in the med?

btw, looks really v.good, well done!

cheers

V.

That gel coat was hard, but smooth and not pitted like a lot i come across. I cant remember the make of sail boat, but i have been doing Rassy Girl that the owner classed as the top end of boat. (which she is) Both her and Evenstar4 to me have a similar gel...looks like its been wetsanded, flat hard gel, that can only look better with a polish once or twice a year.

I have found lately that the returning customers boats are looking better and better and no longer need a hard cut just to get a shine, for the cost its being returned to the owner as the boat is being bought up back to scratch. Some owners listen, others dont, but a fortune can be saved with a regular clean and or polish on the resale of the boat.

Im not out there to rip anyone off, Lisilou will vouch for that as she would have paid for a full wet sand, after viewing the boat it doesnt need it, she opted for a cut and refine, and will look mint when done :)

Remind me not to post after a few glasses of the hard stuff;)
