Now I know this probably is not to all tastes and most will probably be heading as far away as possible from the thames area of the festival this weekend BUT... any thoughts on the best place to get close to the music etc for a few hours Sat evening??? I'm heading up from Henley Sat morning and plan to be there from about 3:00pm onwards.... cheers

Not sure as i have tried to get there by boat for the last five years and failed . Most of the time it's due to work but other years it's been because there are too many pubs on the way /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can hear it anywhere in Reading /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Plenty of smaller boats seem to moor on the park next to the site although its normaly not a good place to moor.

As Chris says, there's normally quite a few boats moored on the park, many of them NB's and a good few quite unwashed, unless it's a baking weekend and then they seem to have their annual bath.
I'm never sure if the sound is distorted or it really sounds that bad normally!
