Re Registration

I have just bought a Jeanneau 479 in Sint Maarten and plan to cruise Caribbean and S Pacific. The boat is registered in California.
We were going to do it under PT 1 of the SSR but have to go to BVIs to get a tonnage survey. With Covid that is an added complication. Does anyone have any suggestions for flagging it elsewhere which are quick, hassle free, can be done remotely and preferably low cost? Marshall Is and Delaware have been suggested. Any thoughts greatly appreciated

PT 1 and SSR have different requirements. If you are UK residents, then you should be eligible for SSR which can be applied for online and requires no vessel surveys.
