Re: A Career In The Industry

Thanks for the replies to my first posting. I had one of those eureka moments and have found the perfect job..........A Boat Addicition Centre. It would be easy to market to boat-owners with numerous benefits including:
You will become rich once you have sold your boat & no more fuel costs, mooring fees, chandlery bills, liftout costs and on and on
No more unblocking heads
Your family will talk to you again and contemplate spending time away with you
Your bank manager will also talk to you again
No more wincing at stories of fingers in windlasses or RNLI rescue nightmares
etc.
I will run the clinic and will have to accept that a few of my clients will never be cured. The prettiest females amongst them will become my crew and we will tour the now deserted Med marinas after buying a superyacht for peanuts as nobody (apart from the few uncured) want them anymore. There will no-one working at the marinas so my fuel will be free. As we disappear into the sunset sunbathers on the beaches will squint to read our transom "The Holy Grail - Antibes".
Alas I fear no petrol-head, diesel-head or LPG sniffer I have met will ever really be cured (myself included) and maybe I should just accept my accountancy job and an impoverished future of buying bigger and better to feed this addicition.
But seriously thanks for the postings - much food for thought. I'm a great believer in the Old Bard "nothing comes from nothing" and will keep building contacts and keep searching for opportunities. Cheers.
