Whilst I have the kit to test my own RCD, how many people ever have theirs tested for tripping times , or do you even press the test button on the actual RCD. this should be done at least twice a year.

Occasionally I remember to pust the button to test it.
Don't know about tripping time but it seems quick.

Yes indeed ,the button only tests the mechanical side of the RCD.

The little socket polarity testers that are a lifesaver when mooring somewhere that doesn't care about phase-neutral reversals quite often have an RCD tester built in.
