I have read the archive posts on RCD, but one question remains. If I were to buy a boat that had not been CE marked, but had been imported to the EU and registered in one of the member states, what would happen to me?
Ah, but the fault in this reasoning is that
a) the declaration of conformity is an essential import document
b) a copy of the DoC needs to be sent in with the request for registration
(in Belgium)
Don't know how fickly UK market surveillance authorities are.
Besides, what if you want to sell the boat later on?
