After a rather bumpy ride round on Sat. Stayed at Teddington overnight. Was going to Lady Wotsits but as tipping it down carried on to Runnymede.Excellent meal at Italian .About 7 club boats already there.Visited by very nice chap from thamesvisitormoorings.Sunday on to Cookham. Very little river traffic BUT narrowband clogging up all EA moorings, loads on wall at Cookham, none have moved in last two days. One has an e enforcement notice on.Lousy takeaway from the Chinese by the station.Doubt we will be going much further up this year.Weeks. license is absolute bargain.

When you say on wall do you mean by the old folks home?

Best chinese is the Peking Inn opposite Maliks not cheap but good food

I use daily to live near Cookham many years ago, and to tell a true story, was walking down Cookham high street. Was stopped by someone who asked directions to the Frank Spencer gallery!!!
Somehow I managed to keep a straight face...
No NBs on the Thames then but lots more cruisers and waiting at locks.

Blimmin RCC boats coming over here and taking all our moorings!
You have no evidence to justify that. Most of the RCC boats I saw yesterday were on the Copas land at Cookham.
Even if it were true they offer enormous hospitality to the various Thames boat clubs that go downriver every year.
Stop being grumpy - that’s Oldgit’s job !

Just trying to post something cos its getting boring round here.

Back home now.
On way down passed boats from Strood Yacht Club and several boats from the club at Yalding, all heading upriver.
Very suprised that spaces free at Windsor/Brocas,Hampton Court, Lady Lyndsies and Runnymede.
There was a largish narrowboat occupying all the space on the mooring outside those flats at Eaton, was there on the Monday and pretty sure it was the same boat still there on Thursday as we came back down.
Self service at Bell Weir and no power to lower gate/slices on lock above Molesley, the name of which escapes me.
Brilliant time.
