I've already had one unit replaced (within 5 months) because of moisture in the display and the replacement's going the same way(5 months). Its still under warranty so its not a problem .. yet! Has anyone else had a similar problem? I do have the display outside at the helm.

My display has a small hole drilled in it bottom LHS, I've had a little bit of condensation in it but turning on the backlight seems to drive it off. It is installed below decks though.

Jimi - the problem with these displays is that they produce heat when they are on. - when they are turned off they just suck the misture in. so gradually it accumulates. The others have said - just leave it on with the back light. But you and I being mean Scotsman - (both expats) that means using battery .aaaarrrggghhhh.

Can you demount the display - or is it permenantly set up?
