I've got the mono version of the Pathfinder combined radar/plotter and am interested in swapping it (with a cash difference of course!) for a colour version. Idea may appeal to someone selling a boat with a colour version who wants to get some extra cash out of the sale?

well, full marks for optomism!

But a Raymarine dealer will be happy to take the mono unit in part exchange for the colour.

I know someone who has just interfaced there Raytheon plotter/radar with a laptop computer apparently this allows the computer to display the radar in colour aswell as acting as a repeater etc. Just thought that option may have been of interest.

Beware ...

some Raymarine models are 'stand alone' without an HSB bus.

They do, however, have a moulding where the HSB plug goes in - you think you've got a bargain ready for setting up a network - but the pins are plastic!!

I got caught out in this way!
