A tale of woe, after getting advice, i bought the ebay GPS antenae that everyone said was ok to use to replace my defunct 120 (cost £90 against £288 for Raymarine) it has failed to work, obtained Raystar 125 (borrowed) and it worked fine. So beware out there, they, (the cheap ebay ones) have apparently been fine with every other C series plotter for the last 6 years, except mine!
it has cost me a lot to find this out.

Did you connect it via NMEA?

No problems with mine

Did you contact the company, they told me exactly what to do to get it going with my Raymarine.

You need the 125, I posted on here a few weeks back on the subject of replacement. If you are sea talk to C series which I guess you are then buy the 125 asap as it is now obsolete and selling out fast. The 130 is newer technology nmea 2000 and is not compatible with the single nmea 0186 input that the C series has. There is a conversion kit for an extra £70 making the total nearer £360.

That's good to know. Somehow I'm going off Raymarine.

Another bit of advice I picked up was that following Raymarine buying out Tack Tick they have or are considering dropping the Tack Tick unit from production. i was told this when I asked the price of replacement units. I understood that there was only one entry level unit from Tack Tick. Perhaps Raymarines 'Tactic' was buy the opposition then not make it available anymore.

Yes, we (i should say the electronics guru i employed) tried everything including speaking to raymarine, it just appears that there is a problem with the NMEA side of things

I'm surprised, because thousands of boatowners have C-series plotters using NMEA input for the GPS.
