Raymarine VHF problem

Hello fireman_bon and/or dial-a-monkey
I have a Raymarine 55E which transmits but does not receive. It is 7 years old so Raymarine have just quoted the standard repair costs + postage etc. Do you still have the documentation to replace the filters and where can I buy the replacement parts from. I've got a friend who is ex-BT and handy with a soldering iron so I'd like to give it a go without handing over lots of dosh to Raymarine. If it fails then a new all singing VHF won't go amis. Hi, I have the same problem with the receiver. Two questions: where can I get a shematic diagram for the RAY55E? Where can I get filters LMT450?

Had one locally apparently not receiving but it was the speaker. Try connecting an external speaker.
