I'm trying to use my c120w MFD to multiplex nmea0183 low speed and high speed (AIS) data to my VHF, Navtex and boat monitor. I believe white and green wires are slow speed. Orange/white and orange/green are high speed. At one point I could measure a 2v-ish dc currrent on both outputs suggesting there was some data output, but in general nothing. Any suggestions to help diagnose the problem would be most appreciated??

For inputs, the Raymarine plotter should have a NMEA view showing you the sentences received (or garbage if the speeds are mismatched or the wires reversed).

For outputs, you can either hook up a USB-Serial converter to see what's coming out, or just make sure you've matched the speeds correctly between sender and receiver and if that doesn't help, reverse the two wires. One of those usually solves it :)

A multimeter isn't overly useful for troubleshooting NMEA.

Oh and since you're telling us wire colours, do double check you even got the right ones! :)

Note the NMEA settings, looks like it's under the System Integration section of the menus.

See page 29 of the user reference guide, C-Series_Widescreen_User_reference_guide_81312-1_EN.pdf which you can download here.
