Raymarine st6000+ not disengaging

As per title, any ideas?
Press manual the display goes out of auto into standby but the ram stays engaged. In Dover with no one available soon in the two places we asked to look.

Does it perform properly when in Auto? When you switch to stand by what does the display show?
I had a problem with mine, wanting to send me to port, Raymarine advised taking it to a main dealer. The dealer phoned Raymarine after verifying the symptoms were as I described. Raymarine would not discuss the problem until the dealer gave them the serial numbers of the head, compass, course computer and ram. Then they simply asked for course computer, head and fluxgate to be sent to them. Came back after 2 months with a bill for over £200 but no description of the fault or repair.Eventually when phoned they said something vague about 'faulty chips in the display head' Went OK for a month and then started steering random courses. Back again and display head repaired again under warranty and has gone fine for a season. So make sure to get the serial numbers before approaching them.
Others on the south coast have found it better to take the kit to Portsmouth.
