Raymarine ST60 Tridata - depth not working

The depth display on my 4 year old Tridata is showing two dashes -- Everything else is working ok. I have checked the wiring and it all seems ok. It was working perfectly until I raised the anchor using the windlass and the battery was a little low resulting in the display flashing. Sounds as if I may have "blown" something. Anyone got any ideas as to what it may be? Otherwise I will call Raymarine on Monday. Thanks

Quick check to elimenate the transducer is to listen to it. If it is 'ticking' its OK

We have ours set to zero at keel depth + a smidgen, when we actually touch the keel on the mud, such as when there's spring tides while in our berth it will read 2 dashes.
Maybe the offset setting has altered?

is the battery now back to a normal charge level? - if no, could it be that the voltage is a little low?

We could make one decent set between us, my tridata speed doesn't work. During my investigation I was asked if it was showing two zeros or two dashes. My shows two zeros which apparently means power to the transducer (my transducer on the speed side is stuffed). So that presumably means you make have a fault in the instrument head. Cost me £50 to have Raymarine tell me it was ok. I was advised to check the connectors at the back of the instrument and then the condition of the cable - all of which was ok in my case.

IN my experience with speed and depth when one does not work, it is due to a corroded connection from the sensor. Usually at the back of the head unit. I lost depth on a Raymarine unti (ST50 I think) and after much fiddling around it started working again. The other one that caught me was a Radar cable that I had fitted. I managed to drive a panneling screw through it... Needless to say it did not work. New cable cost £200+. In hindsight I should have chopped it and reconnected it... Good luck

I suspect you are right in most cases as that's what Raymarine told me but my terminals at the instrument head are fine, tight and making good connection. I was told that the 00 readout means that the instrument head is communicating with the transducer. In my case the transducer is officially stuffed - and its the bronze one - £250 to replace after just 4 years. Not very impressive.

I too have a ST60 tridata with a zero depth. I am reluctant to get the boat hauled out to check the transducer. If I can locate it from the inside can I get the transducer out, clean it and get it back?
