Can I use a raymarine st60+ wind instrument as a straight replacement for an st60? I.e. no problems with transducer or seatalk network (seatalk 1 vs seatalk 2)?

Yes straight swap. Both have Seatalk 1. The only thing you have to watch out for is what type of transducer you have. If you have the old style transducer that was used on the ST50s and early ST60s with parallel sides to the body, it spins slower than the later egg shaped transducer. The ST60+ will probably have a default calibration factor of 0.7. That will need changing to 1 if the old type transducer.

That's very useful, thanks. But just noticed a second hand ST80 wind inst for sale (looks the same as the ST60) - would that work as well?
