Does anyone else have an ST4000+ tiller pilot and an ST60+ instrument? If so, I'd be very interested to know whether the 'lamp' command on the ST4000+ changes the lamp setting on the ST60+ and vice versa.

I asked Raymarine in the summer, and they advised that the ST4000+ did not use to lamp commands (remote display brightness control).

Now they're telling me that they do, and that I must have a Seatalk problem! This despite all other Seatalk data working properly between the instruments!

Does anyone with this instrument combination find that the lamp controls work across ST60+ / ST4000+ devices?

Thanks

Mine does. I can adjust the brightness via any of the ST60s or ST4000mk2

The "seatalk" lighting command is a legacy one and should work across all models that have backlighting.

It is a classic test we used to use to see if Seatalk was working properly, to see if the lights went u and down across the system, proves data bus function.
