Hi. My depth sounder has a sea temp gauge built in. All was well but it now thinks that the sea temp is 54 degrees!

The manual says nothing. Any ideas? Not sure where the sensor is mounted.

Thanks

The temp sensor is built into the paddle wheel speed sensor.

Check all connections on the back of the display then see if you can borrow a sensor to test the display. There are only three things that could cause this. The display, the sensor cable or the sensor.

My ST60+ Tridata has just started to show 154 deg sea temp and the log reading has als reduced.

ps you can adjust sea temp by going into the calibration section
