Raymarine Routing Losing its way

We recently (April 2023) installed a whole new electronics system on Tigger. We opted for a Raymarine set up. Pretty basic stuff: usual log/speed/depth/wind/AIS/autopilot.
We used it extensively on our extended Azores cruise (May-Sept). All has worked fabulously and I am very please with it.

There is only one niggle. When setting up a Route and instructing the Element S 7 MFD, the system eventually "forgets" that we are following a route. It needs to be reminded. Not a huge problem, as there was always plenty of time to do this, however it was a bit annoying.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Any solution?

I have asked Raymarine now... and I am waiting for the "within 3 day" reply, but maybe someone else can shed light on this from a use perspective.

This was not connected in any way to "turning on the engine" or other sudden draws of electricity through the system.

We don’t have exactly the same kit, but have found that if it thinks it has lost GPS signal for even a second it drops the route, even though the GPS position is refound almost instantly. Seems bad design, but not found any solution.
They (R) suggest an upgrade of the software to the latest version. I will give it a try and report back

Just had a similar problem. First ensure sonar logging is turned off (this is in chart/presentation/somewhere). Thiis is on by default in later Raymarine MFDs and it chomps memory. If that doesn’t work then perform a “power on” reset - this is a hard reset that reloads the MFD software. It will reset all your settings so back them up first. Even with a back up some of the more obscure settings get forgotten - eg sonar offsets.

I presume you have already done the obvious and done a full software update..
