Raymarine RL70 Pathfinder + display fault

A friend has the above as a repeater at the helm. The display will no longer illuminate though buttons bleep. Any possible solutions before it goes in a skip?

It used to be possible to buy replacement LCD displays from the US. Try an eBay search.

I recently bought a screen for a SL72+ off eBay and fitted it OK but somehow lost the night back light around the same time, probably my fault as the light no longer has current running to it

There's a chap advertises on eBay for a repair service for old Raytheon/Raymarins kit like this. Fixed charge including postage for examination and simple fix, more complex and he quotes for the additional work and parts.
