I got one, new, from MES for £300, including latest UK chart.and Raymarine guarantee about 3 years ago, so I think £250 is perhaps not a giveaway price for old stock or S/H.
As a basic plotter H/H or mounted, it's OK though. Life of internal batteries isn't brilliant so needs regular re-charge.
I've got one, and I'm happy with it - I bought it new about 3 years ago, and I've no idea what's available now - I paid about £300 for it, c/w chart.
As said, internal battery life with NimH re-chargables not good - one day if you're lucky, so mine is wired in.
I have had "issues" with it dropping its fix, which I've asked about on here - I think it's either mounted too near the VHF (recommendation is more than 3', and this is about that), or sailing near windfarms (don't ask me why, but my worst time was next to Gunfleet and another forumite asked whether I was near a windfarm, as he'd had similar issues).
I've got a very small boat, so the size is OK for me, but you do need to sit close to it to see the chart.
Still haven't learned all the features, but seems it'll do whatever I need. Waypoint naming restricted to 9 (I think) characters, which is not good.
