Raymarine Ray240/260 handset extension cable

Does anyone know if the Ray 240e and Ray 260 modular VHF systems use the same handset cable?
I need to get mine from the lower helm to FB helm which is a run of about 16-18m.

They list a 20m extension for the 260 as the 240e is an older model no longer made (the 260 replaced it)

Raymarine do answer technical questions - takes a couple of days for them to respond. support.uk@flir.com

I have found that since the flir takeover their tech answers are not good on legacy stuff.
I asked about reprogramming an ips autopilot as it looked like an S3G board.

Raymarine said not possible, completely different unit
Ex-ray marine tech reprogrammed it in an hour as the board is the same with an ips add on

Hence asking here, but I'll pop them a mail.

Looks like a multicore screened cable with Din connectors on the ends?
If the plug/socket on your two items of equipment have equal number/arrangement of electrical contacts isn't it a fair bet that a cable with that same number of wires will do the job ?

It's a fair bet, many of the internet pics are not the actual cable though.
The handsets look very similar (just different colours) so I reckon they are probably the same but I'd rather know before spending £100
