Raymarine Puzzle

Hi
I have an old but working Pathfinder Radar PL9 ( do not think this is Seatalk compatible) and I purchased a Raymarine Fluxgate sensor in order to add compass details to the display . Not got around to installing the fluxgate compass and testing the radar set up yet and I have since bought a Raymarine SPX 5 wheel pilot kit which has its own fluxgate sensor. I am wondering whether there is a way of using the one (new) fluxgate sensor to drive the ST6000+ control head, display on the radar and eventually perhaps an ST40 Compass Display Screen (this is the one Raymarine ) suggested a while ago. Any ideas. Please no suggestions to approach Raymarine as I would like an answer this year!

Have you perhaps got an RL9 radar? If so, it should have a SeaTalk input which would take heading data from your autopilot.

Hi
Thanks PVB for advice-yes it is of course an RL9 and good being Seatalk I can then connect up the radar and have a compass display-think I will get a ST40, cheap at the moment from Amazon! Excuse my ignorance as very new to Raymarine/Seatalk systems.
