I have a Raymarine Chartplotter an A65, a model which now seems to be "obsolete". It was bought new in2010, but due to an unfortunate train of events it could not be used until last year, whereupon it packed up 24 hours into the first passage and will not now power up successfully.
Google research has informed me that I can send it to Raymarine for a fixed price repair @ £190 approximately (+spare parts), while a firm advertising on eBay offers the same service for £65. I am somewhat mystified by the huge divergence in price.
Has anyone on here used either of these services? I would be interested to hear comments.
