Raymarine Plotter es97

I've recently bought it's little brother , seems to do what it's supposed to but the manual is crap for an electronics illiterate like me. Maybe wish I'd bought the model your thinking of for the bigger screen.

I purchased one earlier this year. Still trying to understand it and set it up as I want. A powerful bit of kit IMHO, but the chart plotter side is easy to use with navionics+ installed. I suspect that by the end of the season I will understand it more and have it set up as I wish. as wully1 says the manual could be a lot better.

Can concur fully with Boathook above. Each time I go to the boat I learn another little thing about the es97. Basic functions are easy (with Navionics) but so much more is possible. Agree about the manuals too!

We installed one as part of an integrated Raymarine system last autumn - very pleased with it. We have the ES97 at the primary helm, an A7 at the other helm, Quantum Radar and Raymarine Autopilot plus Raymarine instruments. The combination works well together and the ES97 is particularly nice to operate - bright screen that is visible in direct sunlight and ergonomic controls.
