Raymarine log keeps resetting

I have Raymarine ST60 instruments on board.

Every time I switch the instruments on, the log on the ST60 tridata display resets to 17,232nm.

The instruments (including the same ST60 tridata display) register the boat speed in nm from the log impeller in the hull, and while I'm on passage the log is incremented. But after instrument power is lost, it always resets. Not to zero: to 17,232nm, every time.

Can anyone cast any light on why this should be?

You could ask Raymarine but last time I tried (in July) I was put through to America and after asking the question the guy gave me an answer that was obviously not correct and when I questioned him further he cut me off.

The following was a UK contact in May of this year. I suspect you might be offered a repair for a fixed fee rather than advice. But worth an enquiry.

In on the tech forum, as to the reset well first of all I would do a
Software update then call up a Raymarine.
