Raymarine i60 Masthead unit

The anemometer on this unit has stopped rotating; I think I've seen something about this before but a search doesn't find it. Can anyone tell me if this can be repaired by a layman or if it needs to be sent back to Raymarine. I guess what I'm really asking is can the bearing be easily changed and what size they are.

Can’t help at the moment regarding changeability, but the inside of the unit is certainly easily accessed to check it out, the unit just unscrews top from bottom and the circuit board lifts out and unplugs from the wiring. Small screws keeping the wind vane and anemometer arms in place from the outside.

The bearings are id 4, od 8 and thickness 3mm. I made a tool from an old key ( in a vice) to get the bearings off the shaft. Please be very careful when removing the plastic disc for windspeed!
