Afternoon all,

I installed a Raymarine EVO below deck AP over the winter, and it had it's first "outing" yesterday. First of all, may I say it's and absolutely supeerb bit of kit, keeping XTE below +/- 5' - way better than I could do, with little helm movement. However, when Auto tacking, the boat just whizzes around, and I can't keep up with the jib sheets... I can't find anything in manuals or FAQ's on Raymarine website, so does anyone know if it's possible?

Thanks in advance

The manual for the p70s details the set-up process, in which you can specify the boat type as either "sail" or "sail (slow turn)". The manual also has a section on adjusting the hard-over time for the Evolution autopilot.

Yeah, but that's really for "general" sailing, and isn't good enough for normal running. I'm very happy with the way it's working, perhaps I'll have to learn to sheet the jib quicker...:D

I just looked at the manual, and I can't see any facility to delay the start of autotack. With my Garmin autopilot, I can set a delay of X seconds between pushing the autotack button and the pilot actually doing anything, and I find this quite useful.
