Raymarine E120 chart question

I'll check on my E120 later when I'm on the boat. However I can't see much point in seeing contour lines much beyond say 100m, deeper than that, what difference does it make to a surface vessel?

In menu go to cartography setup, then depth contours and select all. That certainly worked on mine to 110m, the deepest I could find in the Channel.

Thanks but I have done that. I am upgrading too V5.69 which should solve things.

I'd be surprised if it did. There's nothing on the software update history that says it will http://www.raymarine.com/view/?id=3753. In fact having read that history I'm not even going to bother updating mine because it doesn't seem to address my major bugbear with the E120 which is the fact that ETA at final waypoint and distance to final waypoint cannot be shown in the databar like every other chartplotter I've experienced. I see that Raymarine reinstated this feature on the E125

So I would be very interested to know if the update addresses your contour issue

Have just checked what software version is on the fly bridge repeater and its the same as lower helm. However the full range of contour lines are showing!!!! So down to lower helm and no amount of pressing all the right (I think) buttons was I able to get the full range of contour lines showing.

So I think you are right and that the software up date will not change things.

I have a 2008 version of the E120. Works absolutely fine including the radar etc. and does all that I need. Only just acquired the boat, and was out with friend fully up to speed with these things. I suggested that I should see about upgrading the software, to which he said don't bother you have all you need.
Does anybody know , or have a view , whether it is worth upgrading and what advantage is there, given I am happy now.

Update,
Have now found right button to display all depth contours. Press the "presentation" soft key then you will see an option for "System" or "Local" then press "System" simples eh?
