Raymarine E classic software update

Just tried to download the Raymarine E series software update v5.69. Unzipped it, but there are only 2 files showing, an autorun.dob at 358kb and a .pkg at 9687kb.
Whenever I've updated Raymarine software in the past there's been a complete page of files, not just two. Does that look right?

(MFD doesn't try and update when CF card installed)

Yes that looks like the right files. Worked on my E80 & E120 but only when used on a 128Mb SanDisk compact flash card.

Great, thanks for that. I could only find a 128mb Canon card, I've got a 2GB Sandisk which I'll try tomorrow. Apparently it might work, all depends on how old the displays are.
Good to know I've at least got the right files!

Yep, should be ok. I did the same with our 2004 vintage E120 classics, had to but a low capacity card off ebay but the update worked fine with, I think, only a couple of files like you're seeing.

Thanks for that, got it sorted today actually with the 2GB card.
Very quick and easy, only snag is the radar seems to have stopped working so I'll have a trawl through the manual.
But, on the plus side, the repeater on the fly is working fine now

In my defence, I did read the manual when we went out on Saturday to turn it on and off, all working fine Now I'm getting a "no data" message but I'll see if I've missed anything.
Actually a quick Google search shows it might need a hard reset after a software update so probably just that. Hopefully!

Do let us know if that works. I hate upgrades that create problems instead of enhancing function

Speaking as someone who had a software company at every update you wait to find out what does not work and just hope it is not too bad. It is usually the last minute no risk change that causes chaos!
