I have a Raymarine 6000 Auto pilot system and teh older series of Sea Talk instruments. I dont have a built in chart plotter (I have OpenCPN on a built in PC, and I have Navionics etc on Android devices). I have an AIS transponder and an old Furuno Radar at the chart table.

I would like a chart plotter up on deck and I recently sailed on a bout with Raymarine E80 and their relatives as multi function displays. I like the fact that it could set a route for the ST6000 (well I could also do that from OpenCPN), but what I really liked was having AIS and Radar superimposed on a chart on deck.

It I found a second hand E80 would I have to find a similar aged radome to match it, or would it work with more recent (better?) radar sets?

Also I have a Whitlock steering wheel with an arch shaped bar. I think I need a swept forward bar to mount a multi function display like this (if I go for it at the wheel). What are such things called and where would I get one?

You also have to be aware that you won't be able to set the autipilot to follow a route and curl up in your bunk and go to sleep. The system will require you to rouse yourself at each waypoint to acknowledge arrival and set the boat on course for the next waypoint.
