The screen on the Raymarine e series 12” chart plotter in my 2002 motorboat which I’ve owned only for a few months has been going dark intermittently, usually only for a few seconds or minutes. I assumed this was a power supply issue. However this week the display didn't appear to turn on at all although I got occasional beeps, then I noticed in the sunshine that the display was working but just dark. Today it decided to work (lit) although it was going dark for a very short time, ‘flickering’. I was able to adjust the brightness but the flickering remained. So I suspect that the backlight or its power supply is faulty. Can anyone confirm the likely problem, or knows of a repairer in the uk?
