I have just had my credit crunch shocker for the day - £400 for a simple camera to view the blind spot behind Enigma - and that excludes fitting. Do the forumites know of alternatives - in my case that means 24V, ideally reverse image (so it has the effect of a rearview mirror on the plotter) and "plug and play" into the back of an E120. I can live without the infrared illumination and "night vision" - if things are that bad I should be on the flybridge even if it is cold and wet.

Thanks Geoff
Now please type slowly, electronics are not my strong suit. Do you mean I can plug composite straight in and also plug S video in to the socket with an adaptor. Any suggestions for a 24V reverse image unit suitable for outdoor marine use?

Thanks

There are 4 video inputs on the "E" series units any of which can take a composite video input. Raymarine then do an adaptor that converts two of the inputs to accept an "S" video input,so max two "s" video cameras.

Maplin N89FX camera is a 12v model that is only lighty waterproof, but at the price would with a bit of protection do what you are looking for.

I have looked through the CAM100 manual and the "E"manual and there is no mention of reversing the video

Just use a 24 > 12V converter as required.

[/ QUOTE ]Raymarine offer various versions of their cameras, including "reverse image" versions - see here.
