hi all just been up to boat, Switched power on to plotter it came on then 5 seconds later went off then back on, It looks like the on/off button is stuck,
I contacted service centre they wanted £45 just to have a look, do you think
i could take front off and sort button or bite the bullet and send to service centre any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Pull the power cord cord off and then replace it, works for us!! Could even be low battery volts.

Before anything else you should check if the front is clipped on correctly as if not they have a habit of catching and pushing the buttons.

I have had this before with the unit cycling on and off. I sent the unit for repair which fixed it for a few months. Sent it back again and then it was good for another few months.
