I got a small brochure from Raymarine with the magazines a month or more ago detailing a new (free) software download but this still hasn't appeared on their website. It promises better display of tidal information (like C-Map Max) and various other tweaks such as satellite weather overlay in the US (which looks very interesting if it comes over here). Does anyone know what has happened to this update? It may just be that their marketing department has got ahead of themselves. This link takes you to the last update 3.18

I shouldn't complain as there aren't many such products which get better as time goes by but it is a little annoying to be promised something which hasn't arrived.

I checked with Raymarine who said it would be on the web site this month but they hadn't got a date that was two weeks ago still there are 9 days to go I suppose it will eventually apeare and as you say it is pretty good support.
 
The dealer who supplied my C80 gave me a chip to download the upgrade. It worked quickly and easily, and the new features seem worthwhile.

He downloaded the software from Raymarine's website. I don't know where on the site.
 
The upgrade was posted the very next day... My link above should take you to the upgrade page. You'll need to register for which you will need your serial number. You'll also need a spare compact flash card and a card reader or other means of copying the downloaded file to the card (I use my trusty Psion 5). Enjoy!
