I am looking to make a purchase of an Axiom 9+ or Pro (the pro has buttons).
The unit will be flush mounted in a timber pedestal and someone has told me that the standard 9+ has its GPS sensor behind the unit so might need an external antenna (£300 extra cost), whereas the Pro has its antenna in the top of the unit.
My questions is simply, is that right and if so, would the GPS signal suffer through a timber pedestal in which case the Pro might be a better option anyway
