Raymarine autopilot woes

My Raymarine autopilot has stopped working. When powering up the instruments i50/i60/Axiom etc the ACU 200 starts beeping for about twenty seconds and then stops beeping for 5 seconds. When quiet the P70s control head starts up but then goes blank again when the beep comes back. It makes no difference if the autopilot main supply is on or off. All of the other instruments appear to be working correctly and interconnecting. I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced this and has a solution before trying to contact Raymarine after the holidays Many thanks

I can’t help I’m afraid but my marine sparky friend says with boats it’s nearly always corroded wires. Have you checked all connections that serve the AP?

Does the manual have a list of beep error codes?

I would start with how the P70 is connected to the autopilot. Could just be a problem with the NME2000 network (SeaTalkNG). Make the P70 into a minimal network with only one T, power supply and the backbone terminators. Does it still happen? Swap cables over.
