Raymarine Autohelm type 100 Course Computer Low Battery alarm

I have discovered an old technical bulletin from Raymarine about a 'Low battery' alarm that can occur when Auto is selected. This can affect pre 1997 units.

This is due to a weak diode, but can be easily resolved, following this condition occurring on mine last week.

If anyone develops this fault on their type 100 course computer PM me for the technical bulletin which explains where to solder in a simple replacement diode. Took me about 10 minutes to effect the repair.
