I am looking to add a small chartplotter to my boat this spring. I would like a unit which can be flush mounted outside on the bulkhead.

I've seen the Raymarine A67 unit with Navionics (small area) download for £500 which seems like a good deal.

Any suggestions or advice would be gratefully received.

If that's the Force4 offer, it does seem well-priced. My preference would be for a bigger screen, especially as it's touchscreen. Note that viewing angles can be critical with some displays, it would be worth seeing one before committing if you're planning to bulkhead mount.

It is the Force4 offer which drew my attention to it, seemed good value for the money.

I think with the limited space I have I cant go much bigger. I looked at a C90 the weekend and was surprised how deep the unit was, I would struggle to mount that.

It may be that what is being offered is obsolete, or about to be so. I don't know about the Raymarine ones but the B&G Zeus, now superseded by the Zeus2, is considerably cheaper now than it was a year or two ago.

The A67 also connects to an iPad (running a Raymarine app) through wifi. This gives you a considerably bigger screen and allows you to control the chartplotter from anywhere on the boat. I've just fitted an E7 running the same software, and I'm quite impressed.

It doeslook like a good offer from Force 4.
