Recently, I purchased a second hand Raymarine A057 chart plotter. Very good deal. However, very soon I noticed a big problem. No any places can allow me to purchase the NMEA/Power cable. Eventually, DIY a cable is the only choice for me. Locating the pin map is the first step. Digging online, apart from know the Raymarine p/n is R62157, no any further information can be reached. Anybody can share a light with me please? Thanks.

Information online includes the two attached pictures, one from the installation manual and one showing the cable end.
The two large connections must be +ve and -ve supply. Then there is a single earth drain wire which I would guess is the inner connection of the group of 5 small connections.
You should find continuity between the single earth drain wire and one of the two large connections so you can work out that one must then be the -ve supply connection.
That leaves two groups of 4 which will be the two NMEA Ports (In +ve, In -ve, Out +ve and Out -ve). You cannot do much damage testing NMEA signal connections so given time and a suitable NMEA talker (Speed/Depth/Wind or GPS sensor) you should be able to "pin it down".a57d connection.jpgR62157 end.jpg

Hi Andy, Thanks very much for your help. Following your comments, I have worked the GND and 12V as image shows. With a meter, I have also worked out there are two wires(numbered as pin 2 and pin 3 in the image) short connected with GND, I guess one is the ship's ground, but cannot identify what is the other one. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

If somebody have Raymarine A50,A57 or A70 chart plotter, can you share a light with me? I would like to pay if somebody can help me to check the NMEA/POWER cable pins map please. Thanks.

Put a search into Ebay, save it, and you'll be notified as and when one of these comes up. I couldn't find any suppliers that had them, but Ebay produced. It usually does, you just have to be patient! If I can figure out the pin configuration, I'll let you know!

I bought one too. This thread allowed me to power it up safely (although I'm sure it has polarity protection). Haven't managed to find the pin outs for the NMEA though. Trial and error I think.

There are 8 active nmea wires so only one of the 1-9 should be ground. I metered mine and got continuity to the upper (0 V power pin).
