Raycontrol App

It certainly doesn’t help that they seem to have had a series of different names and abandoned apps. There are substantial differences between the iPhone and iPad versions too (I’ve never used any of the android ones).

I‘m now having doubts about the autopilot control. I thought I’d used that feature, but maybe my memory’s playing tricks. I’ll have to try it next time I’m on the boat.

Oh, i can definitely control the autopilot from my phone and my tablet.
Does that mean you can change course, select between heading hold and track following, and/or modify a route or waypoints?

The rider, "User Note, autopilot activation/deactivation is not possible via a mobile device." appears in the blurb for both Raycontrol and Rayremote - though I don't see what the difference between the apps is - they both seem to do the same thing -what am I missing?

I can do everything from the tablet that i can do from the plotter, which includes AP control. I can engage, disengage, steer x degrees port or stb etc. Because i can do it from the plotter (obviously) i can also create or modify waypoints or routes.

I've just taken this picture of my Samsung Galaxy, showing the Garmin app' with the autopilot full screen, can also be split screen, or just engage/standby with the "button" at the bottom left. The app' can also be used stand alone, using the Garmin charts. For the cost of a tablet Mine was £180 for a 10.4" screen, (there are cheaper models) it makes a very cheap 2nd station MFD and cheap backup plotter.
