This might be a silly question but I have learnt to ask before things get messy...
I need to remove and replace the raw water pump on my generator, its not belt driven but has a shaft directly into the timing. It looks like I just undo four bolt and pull the whole thing off. However, do I need to drain down the oil first? I have experience of not draining things and then spending more time cleaning up than the actual repair!
