Was wondering if anybody knew this boat. Arrived in our marina near end of 2013 season in a not impressive state, had a quick wash and was launched.

Moored ever since, interior partly taken apart and left for the winter on thin miserable lines. Never saw anybody near or on board.

At the right price, yes.

Years of neglect isn't easy do make good, but given a thorough survey and time to do things, it might be OK.
Calculated as expected market value less the time & material needed to bring her up to date, the offer on her would seem silly.

Depends if the owner has the means to make her right.

If he can afford to fix her he will be paying storage fees. Eventually he'll either have to cut his losses or put her back together.

I would only take her on if all of the boxes I.e survey, time to do the work and budget were right.

Seems like the sort of project that Essex Boatyards would be suited too

Not knowing the story much will be guesses, but alone moving her from Mylor to Denmark would add to the money invested in the project.

Wonder what budget was made, if any, to justify it all. Maybe the owner moved and took it with him to avoid realizing a loss from sale, maybe it was actually bought with transfer to DK in mind. Will ask if I ever see someone onboard her.

The berth fee include space on the hard and lift in/out is inexpensive to members (like £45), so the annual cost doesn't change much regardless of standing or afloat. The owner might see her as a floating summer house with a view while working on her, but the attitude shown so far isn't too promising.

The harbour master sends SMS's to all members with weather warnings and other important news. The last storm warning made other owners on the same bridge fix & secure the lines on Rattus.

Yes but he still has to pay the annual fee regardless of if he's using the boat.

By the looks of things all that's happening at the moment is the boat is deteriorating while costs are still being incurred.

If she came up for sale I would only buy her for a silly price, as said earlier cost will only rise as time goes by

If you google it on ancasta it was in fantastic condition and much upgraded sometime after 2010 when it was for sale. Sorry I don't seem to be able to post a link!

From the pic there's nothing to suggest she's in bad too bad condition (other than the radar arch and rubbing strip). There's even pain on the props!

Why not have a word with the marina to get the owner to contact you in you're interested?

When Ascasta sold her she looked in first class condition from their photos, 2002 boat.

I too noticed that. Can't see when Ancasta sold her, but a few years of neglect can set things back. In the flesh she looks to need more than wash/clean/polish.
Ancasta stated that she, at that point, was recently updated.

Worst I came across was a Sealine 30 Flybridge, first saw the boat in about 1984 when a few months old doing a bit of warranty, 2004 was asked to have a look at the charging system on a Sealine 30, same boat with 132 hours on it after 30 years. 3/4 years ago it was still on the same bit of land, it was the dinette version that I liked, unfortunately it was BMW petrols, so needed new engines and drives.
