...can anyone spot what these unidentified diving objects are?
Hint: the pic was taken from the sea bottom, looking at the surface.

Never seen any that thin, but that's a great photo...where was it taken?
 
must be air "bubbels"/rings
Give that man a virtual cigar! Not made by dolphins, though.
It's actually easy to make them, for anyone familiar with smoke rings.
In fact, the technique is exactly the same - it's the water pressure which gives almost automatically such regular shape, whilst smoke rings aren't that thin and tend to dissolve, because they quickly mix with the air.
Of course, it takes also a bit of confidence with scuba diving, because the regulator must be taken out, putting it back in mouth afterwards, hopefully without drinking in between... :)

Oh, and in reply to Mitch: that's the southern coast of Fernando de Noronha. Crystal clear water, innit? The pic was taken while standing on the bottom at 70 feet or so, and the rings were just beginning their climb to the surface above us, go figure! :eek:
