Hi, I've got a mate of a mate, who is looking to buy my Doral 230cc or a Ranieri. Now I've not heard of them, seen the brochure, he's thinking of the 20ft one, 115HP outboard. 20K, my Doral for 15K with all the bits I've put on it.

I think that my boat will be more stable and they'll enjoy it for taking family on etc. Anyway, I said I'd ask about the Ranieri and see what people here thought of it, good or bard, or variable!

Cheers

Hi, not sure what for us yet. I have to keep my small business afloat through these times and the boat has to go for funding it further. Feels dreadful, had someone offer me 10K for it so far! Terrible really, it really is worth 15K, it's got so many addons to it, ACS, AIS, tender you name it, for 10K that lot all comes out...

Ranieri are an Italian company, the main importer being Reddish Marine in Salcombe. I think that outside the UK they are fairly well known.

I bought a Revolution 15 new several years ago through sub dealer in West Wales at the time.

Got a very good deal as they were trying to get a few out on the water.

Seemed to be a solid boat, but only kept it for a season as we traded up and part exchanged it.

The only issue was when it came to re sale, the brand meant that it was more difficult to sell and hence the part ex. This has not been my experience with subsequent boats which were more well known.

Hope this helps.

Just taken 10.5K for my Doral. Very distressed price, but I have to save my business, and sanity. Bit ****, but taking all the other stuff out like tender, outboard, AIS, computer everything.

Such is life, will get another boat soon. Just need to get other priorities sorted. Now that the MET has revised the summer forecast I'm not that sad.

I'll keep in touch here though!

Ballistix sorry to here of the situation with business....... I guess being philosophical about the boat sale at this time of the season, you are more likely a definite, quick sale.

Cheers

Well you and I can be boatless together then! Like you say, with revised forecast, it may not be that bad. Good luck with your business!
