Random Orbital Sander (principally for aluminium, some wood work)

Anybody been using a random orbital sander on aluminium with a good track record (does not fall apart after a few seasons)?
Any recommendations?
With good dust collection (either integral or external suction)

Guy kindly lent me his when doing my winter maintenance.

His company used them on an industrial business and he said he found Metebo the best (not the cheapest!)

I went out and bought one after using his.

I had a Bosch 400 something or other, about £80, rubbing down my ten metre hull, before I finished the little hooks gave up and the sheets flew off. Money back. Now I have a Titan from Screwfix, not used enough to know yet.

Little hooks don't give up more like dust clearing is inadequate and you get a build up between the pad and the sheet.

I bought sheets in bulk but would be tempted to try the "Matt" type sheet that a number rave about.

PEX 400, I think. Well I am due at Specsavers, but a close visual inspection revealed no hooks, just tiny stubble. They repaid me without even looking at it, and they don't sell it any more..

I have had a Metabo for several years. It gives good results but the dust collecting box is pretty rubbishy but it's fine with a vacuum cleaner connected to it.
