I wasn't able to take part either this year, but I did manage to get to the prizegiving with friends who had sailed.
A little smaller than previous years, with 75 yachts taking part, and a noticeable drop off towards the end of the week. The winds were light all week, some afternoon sea-breezes, but only one race had to be abandoned. People I spoke to seemed to have enjoyed the week well enough. Two yachts cleaned up nearly all the prizes, the RTYC J39 "Assassin", and one called "Monkey Business" that I haven't come across before. Detailed results are already posted at www.rtyc.com. Incidentally, there was a raffle in which one of the yachts won Ellen McArthur as a crew-member for the final race - she also presented the prizes.
Apparently Woolwich are pulling out as sponsors, so the future may be in doubt.
