Whilst moored alongside at Henley yesterday, our boat was reversed into by a narrowboat. The narrowboat was attempting to moor up in a space that was more than big enough for it, but the skipper saw fit to reverse into our boat despite the shouts from his own crew.
I was not there, otherwise I would have given a more than forthright opinion etc.
My son was on board at the time.
The "Skipper" simply said to my son words to the effect that "you took that calmly", he then simply walked off.
We have pictures of the boat in contact with ours and also the name of the boat and the damage to our Gelcoat.
It is a hire boat called Amerthyst(sic) from Anglowelsh.co.uk
Does anyone have any experience of taking up this with Hire companies? We will require some deep Gelcoat polishing.
