As an aside, the onboard shots of Rambler sailing are really impressive - I think that's how I'd squander my millions if I had them.

2. Get the best lifejacket possible, with light & built in sprayhood.
3. Wear it tight, don't slip down out of it - seems to make a couple of hours difference in hypothermia.
4. Have leg straps that lift your legs in the foetal position.

It seems the guy talking at 7:46 was not wearing a lifejacket, as he managed to swim under water to get off the boat - not possible with one.
