Raising toilet height

Why not make a 6" thick seat? makes the plumbing easier, solves the problem, and allows you to make it nice and erganomic :)
 
In that case you are very lucky. Current medical advice is that the knees should be raised several inches above the level of the upper thigh for a full evacuation. You can even get small steps to put your feet on.

This is correct.

It was part of Dr Philip Hammond's contribution a while back when he was the "dictionary corner guest " on Channel4's "Countdown" programme.
 
Thanks for the ideas, looks like I will probably build something up in wood then glass over it. Cant believe that Jabsco dont sell a plinth as an option, there must be a market for it.

Perhaps because they are so easy to custom build and any plinth that Jabsco made would always be 'not quite the right height and shape?

You don't need to glass it over. You can just epoxy coat it after its faired sanded and then put white flowcoat on it (or two pack paint as I suggested before).
