Raggie looking to downgrade/upgrade to mobo. (Not getting any younger)

Maybe the boat I have in mind does not exist but perhaps someone can help me.

What I would like is a boat about 8 to 10 metres loa, displacement hull (not semi-displacement) moderately shallow draught suitable for inland waterways and coastal passages in fair weather. Living accommodation for 2 (or occasionaly more) people.
Substance preferred over style.
Budget is flexible for the right boat.
I've had a bit of a search online without much success. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in anticipation.

With those requirements I would turn to Holland. We were over there recently looking at a particular boat but the choice of steel boats is vast. A good start would be De Valk https://www.devalk.nl/

There probably isn't a boat that fits your needs. However Nimnus is a brand that comes to mind.

I'm a sailor also moving to power, I have some sympathy with your challenge!

As mentioned by Greg2 the Dutch are masters at this. I'd suggest you start with looking at Linssen. The Grand Sturdy range starts at 29'. It's an excellent displacement cruiser designed for inland and coastal use, built by a yard with a strong tradition of boatbuilding and customer care. Some examples here:

A Mitchell 31 mk3 might fit the bill, also Aquastars and Seawards. All nominally semi d but comfortable at displacement speeds.

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions . Keep them coming! Looks like Holland is the best place to look. The smaller Linnsens look good but I have a little bit of bias against steel having sailed mostly on salt water and being "allergic" to paint!

You didn't mention your price range but here are a few suggestions - some of which are semi displacement, my own marque first ...

Corvette 32 / 320
Nimbus various
Aquastar 32
Weymouth 32
Merry Fisher

On a budget ? Princess 30 DS.
We have one in our club that has been everywhere from the Baltic to the "Med" via Paris and Berlin. The skipper and his wife now in their 80s are still boating, spent 2 months last years on the Thames.
A simple stable and solid boat with decent side decks.
